DÜSSELDORF, SKÅNE
DÜSSELDORF, SKÅNE (English Title: Love Will Save Us) - is a coming-of-age and love story set in 1986 that deals with teenage emotions, class issues, parents struggling with life, synth music and the power of creativity as a means of survival.
SYNOPSIS
The year is 1986. Fredrik and Nina - both in their early twenties - are heavily into the synth music culture and listen to bands like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, DAF, Front 242, etc. They live in a small village in the southern part of Sweden called Skåne. Fredrik is passionate about making his own music, and Nina dreams of becoming a photographer. Fredrik's synth band is about to perform their first gig, while his parents are on the verge of ruining everything for him. During the most important weekend of Fredrik's life, everything comes to a head.
Starring: Erik Svedberg-Zelman, Rebecca Plymholt, Anna Blomberg, Magnus Schmitz, Karin Lithman, Daniel Gustavsson, among others.
The film is a co-production with Film i Skåne and produced in collaboration with Swedish National Broadcaster SVT and The Swedish Film Institute.

Performing live with my experimental act Düsseldorf by Night (Lamour Records) at Eter Festival held at Mejeriet in Lund, Sweden on 25:th of January 2020.
In this project, called ”En Ny Ädelsten I Malmös Diadem” - I use a presentation film from 1964 about ”Kronprinsen” - the first skyscraper built in my hometown of Malmö, Sweden - as a starting point. Video footage from the 1980:ies local television transmissions made from the top of the skyscraper in a small TV-studio, are then used as a backdrop to voice samples from the 1964 film. Musically and soundwise this is set in a contemporary electronic rhythmical soundscape weaving the yesterday with today resulting in what one member of the audience at a recent concert described as the sound of a feverish dream.

Old school house esthetics gone leftfield and taken down to around 90-100 bpm. Vocal cut ups, some distorted 707, heavy and rough bass, naive and arty rhythms and one track featuring poetry in Swedish. The lyrics to Mjuk Betong can be found in another section on this website.
DA BOOK - Kockum

This is a concept album about a city that is no more. The city of Malmö has suddenly disappeared. The old Kockum area is the only thing left. Recorded after dark in a small office room at Kockums shipyard in Malmö in a music style that could possibly be described as progg-punk-tronica.

Every now and then I get a vision in my dreams of slowed down Kraftwerky naive music recorded in a church environment with old unprogrammable muffled and monotonous drummachines and choirs singing slightly sad but kinda rhythmically to this. I did not reach the vision here, but I will not give up.

An album close to my heart. My childhood summers was spent in my grandfathers house in Mossby outside of Ystad. As a child I loved walking about alone in the rain in Mossbystrand. Bathing? Not so often.
